Many of us suffer from uncomfortable symptoms in our lives – depression, anxiety, addictions, impulsive behaviors, etc. All this happening is because of the conflict between our inner world and the outer world in our lives.

Fortunately, our body-mind is constantly communicating with each other through our dance movements to balance our Chakra (Energy center) in the physical body so that we can attune ourselves to our soul’s language, then, the deep healing can begin taking place.

Chakradance is a vehicle that takes us from our outer world to our inner world, it’s a journey to meet with our essential true self.  We use specific music, spontaneous dance, guided imagery, and mandala art to journey through the Chakra system, the energy center in our physical body, to activate our inner experiences.

It’s almost like entering a waking dream, you may see images, recall memories, or gain insights; and you may experience feelings emotions, or physical sensations.  It is an organic unfolding of what is inside of each chakra.

If a chakra is out of balance, you will get indications like the music doesn’t resonate with you, or your dance is stilted or feeling distracted.  Whatever you noticed happening in your Chakradance, I ask you to be mindful of your experiences, just observe and witness your experiences.

It is important to be gentle with yourself and take it at your own pace.  It is about going within, seeing what is, and being with what is, and listening to our inner voice towards healing.
